Volunteers

For some of us the desire to help comes naturally. We try to connect, we try to give back. We just feel empathy for other people - This is called the "compassionate gene" If you would like to be part of a team that makes a difference, please contact us.

Volunteering Is Good For The Mind and Body

Volunteering is good for your mental and physical health. It can:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety- Nothing reduces stress better than being around other people.
  • Fight depression- Volunteering keeps you in contact with others which can help build a strong support system.
  • Gives a sense of purpose- Volunteering can help give you direction and focus by helping others. Whatever your situation it can help take your mind off your own worries.

Volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your day. Any time you can give can help those that need it and improve your own health and happiness
